Propane Announces Two Additional Acquisitions
OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Liberty
Propane has announced its acquisition of Tony Yates Welding
and Gas Service on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, and
SunEnergy Propane of Phoenix, Arizona. Terms of the transactions
were not disclosed.
“We are quite pleased to have strengthened our presence
both in the Northeast and the Southwest, two of our strategic
territories,” Kent Misemer, Liberty’s CEO remarked.
Misemer added that the acquisitions represent the addition
of over 9,500 new customers to Liberty’s rapidly growing
base.
“Both of these companies are unique,” Misemer
said, “and each is unique in very different ways,
representing the diversity of their respective locations.
Yates Gas is an island business with a long history of solid
customer service, while SunEnergy is a rapidly growing company
in Phoenix, one of the country’s most dynamic growth
regions. The new employees are all a pleasure to work with
and we are delighted to have them on board.”
Liberty Propane is one of the nation’s most active
propane acquisition companies. Since its formation in July
of 2003, Liberty has acquired thirteen locations and has
operating units in the Southeast and the Ohio Valley in
addition to the Northeast and the Southwestern United States.
