Propane Announces Two More Acquisitions
OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Liberty
Propane has announced its acquisition of Able Propane in
Rockaway, New Jersey, and Valencia Propane in Belen, New
Mexico. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
“Able Propane establishes a strategic foothold for
us in the northeast market,” said Liberty CEO Kent
Misemer, who added that the northeast represents a target
market for the new propane company. “We are pleased
to join forces with the Able Propane team and to welcome
them into the Liberty family.” Misemer added that
the acquisition represents the addition of 3,600 customers
and close to two million gallons of retail delivery in the
new Liberty territory.
“Valencia Propane is an excellent strategic fit with
Liberty’s operation in Los Lunas, New Mexico,”
Misemer added. “This is an important and growing market
for us,” Misemer said. “We are excited to have
the Valencia folks on board.” All of the employees
of the two companies will be retained.
Liberty Propane is one of the nation’s most active
propane acquisition companies. Since its formation in July
of last year Liberty has acquired ten locations and has
operating units in the Rocky Mountains, Ohio Valley in addition
to the Northeast.
