Liberty Propane Announces Chief Operating Officer and
other Key Additions to Liberty Staff

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Liberty Propane has named Boyd H. McGathey as its Chief Operating Officer. McGathey held various positions including Vice President-Chief Operating Officer, Eastern U.S. Division and Senior Vice President-Chief Information Officer at Ferrellgas where he began his propane industry career in 1989. During a brief absence from the propane industry, McGathey worked for ADT Security Services, a Tyco International LTD company. McGathey has been an active participant in the propane industry as a member of the Iowa and Illinois Propane Gas Associations, NPGA Safety Committee, World LPG Association and PERC Council.

Larry Albon (Cary, NC) joined Liberty Propane as Business Development Manager in November 2004. With more than 42 years of experience in the propane industry, Albon most recently served as CornerStone’s Regional Manager for their Florida Region overseeing over 15 retail operations. Prior to CornerStone, Albon worked for Propane Continental in Mergers and Acquisitions and for Ferrellgas as their Region Managing Director for their East Coast operations. Albon began his propane career with Protane, Inc. in 1962.

Jackie Hall-Mitra joined Liberty Propane in November 2004 as Acquisitions Coordinator, bringing with her over 13 years of propane industry experience. Most recently, Jackie served as CornerStone’s Retail Operations Project Manager. Prior to that, Jackie – who began her propane industry career with Ferrellgas in 1986 – served as Marketing & Advertising Coordinator.

Joanne Allman has been named Supply Coordinator for Liberty Propane’s supply division. Joanne brings with her 10 years of propane industry experience, most recently in Supply and Marketing for Propane Resources. Joanne also worked for Tri-Power Fuels in Supply and Distribution. Joanne began her propane career with Synergy Gas as Office Manager for their Drexel MO location.
