Liberty Propane Announces Acquisition in the Northwest

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Liberty Propane has announced the acquisition of Permagas, Inc., their first acquisition in the Northwest. Permagas is located in Lake Stevens, Washington with delivery throughout the Seattle-Tacoma, Kent-Olympia, and Marysville, Washington area. Permagas also supplies customers located in Alaska.

“We are extremely excited about the acquisition of Permagas, which brings over 3 million gallons and an additional 2,400 customers to Liberty’s rapidly growing customer base.” Kent Misemer, Liberty’s CEO stated. Misemer added, “We are also very pleased to add the Northwest Region as one of our strategic territories.”

Liberty Propane has acquired a total of fifteen quality propane companies since its inception in July, 2003. With the Permagas acquisition, the Overland Park, Kansas based propane retailer now serves over 80,000 customers from 35 facilities in 9 states, including operations in the Northeast, Rocky Mountain Southwest, Northwest and Southeast. Liberty is currently the 14th largest propane company in the United States.
