| Liberty Propane Announces Another North Carolina Acquisition
OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Liberty Propane has announced the acquisition of Rice’s Gas & Oil in Havelock, North Carolina, located 130 miles east of Fayetteville. This newest acquisition represents an additional 3,800 customers to the already rapidly growing customer base in Liberty’s Southeast Region.
“Rice’s Gas strengthens Liberty’s presence in North Carolina and is an important addition to one of our strategic growth areas. We are excited to welcome this quality company that adds to the core of Liberty’s existing top-notch operations,” stated Kent Misemer, Liberty’s CEO.
The Rice’s Gas & Oil acquisition will bring the Overland Park, Kansas based propane retailer to a total of over 87,000 customers at 33 facilities, in 10 states.
In only three years, Liberty Propane, driven by industry veterans, has become the13th largest and fastest growing retail propane marketer in the industry.
