Mr. Weinstein serves as Chief Financial Officer for Liberty Propane, L. P. and has over 25 years of experience in corporate financial management. In addition, he has broad experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, managing administration, operations, and information systems.
Most recently, Mr. Weinstein served as Chief Financial Officer for Fairbanks Scales Inc, a leading manufacturer in the commercial scale industry. He joined Fairbanks to assist with a major turnaround and was instrumental in engineering and leading a successful completion prior to his departure.
Before joining Fairbanks, Mr. Weinstein served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Midwest Division of Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc, the largest wholesaler of specialty and performance automotive parts and accessories in America.
Prior to joining Keystone, from 1993 to 1998, Mr. Weinstein was the Chief Financial Officer for Propane Continental. While there, he was responsible for developing and managing Propane Continental's financial and administrative systems and personnel and was an integral contributor to the acquisition process from due diligence to closing through post acquisition integration. At Propane Continental Mr. Weinstein arranged all the acquisition and trade financing as Propane Continental completed 35 acquisitions in 5 years and grew to become the 19th largest retail propane company in the United States. He also wrote and implemented the company's first credit policy, and purchased and installed the company's management information system.
From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Weinstein was employed at Relco Corp., a Kansas City, MO based wholesale automotive aftermarket distributor that operated 13 distribution centers in ten states. Hired as Controller, he was ultimately promoted to become the Company's first Vice President / Chief Financial Officer.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Weinstein spent five years as Vice President of Finance and Operations for Modern Warehouse, Inc., a multi-branch wholesale floor covering distributor headquartered in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Weinstein began his career as an accountant in the Kansas City, MO, office of KPMG Peat Marwick, where, over five years, he became a Senior Accountant responsible for audits in a broad range of industries.
Mr. Weinstein earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Kansas. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
